While fight fans had high hopes for the bout, “do Bronxs” used his grappling to seal a one-sided unanimous decision win over “Blessed.” The strategy was certainly effective, but it lacked the excitement of a standard BMF title fight.\n\nSpeaking to the folks at “Submission Radio,” Hooker said he thinks the way Oliveira won the championship dealt a significant blow to the aura of the BMF belt (via MMAFighting.com).\n\n*“It was cool for a bit and then he kind of made it not cool,” Hooker said. “I think he killed it.”*\n\nHooker believes he can pinpoint what went wrong with the BMF title. “The Hangman” thinks it boils down to the idea losing its identity.\n\n*“You know where they f*cked it up?” Hooker said. “They should have kept it like Nate Diaz, Masvidal kind of shit.
